About us

Binfield Badger Group is a charity which brings together like-minded people who care about badgers.

  Our aims are to:

  • promote badger welfare and preserve their habitat across the whole of Berkshire;

  • provide a framework for members and supporters to help badgers in ways suitable to them;

  • understand the population of badgers across Berkshire and use that information to their benefit;

  • educate and inform people about badgers and the Group’s activities;

  • maintain sufficient funds to achieve these objectives.

The Group was formed in 1985 - see below to find out about the Group's fascinating history!

What do we do?

Sett surveying

Underlying much of our work is our sett surveying activity.  Only if we know where the badgers live can we help them.

Help and protect badgers

We seek to protect badgers in need, be that from developments, climate, road traffic or crime.

Group meetings

We hold 2 open meetings a year which include an update on Group activities and a topical speaker.

Newsletter

We produce a newsletter once a quarter to update our members on local and national badger news.

Raising awareness

We seek to give Berkshire's badgers a voice.
